# Import a guest list from CSV or Excel

Upload a spreadsheet and we'll match the columns for you.

You can import a CSV, XLSX or XLS file. We read the first sheet and match columns like Name, Phone, Language, Party size, Side and Group automatically.

1. Open **Guest list** and click **Import list**.
2. Not sure about the format? Click **Download template** and fill it in.
3. Click **Choose a file** and pick your spreadsheet.
4. Check the summary. Rows with a problem are skipped and marked: missing name, invalid phone, duplicate in file or invalid link.
5. Tick the box confirming your guests agreed to receive your invitations.
6. Click **Import guests**.

## Columns we recognize

- **Name** (also "Full name" or "Guest") - required.
- **Phone** (also "Mobile", "WhatsApp", "Number") - required. Include the country code, for example +14155552671.
- **Language** - en, he or fr. If it's empty, the event's language is used.
- **Party size** (also "Guests", "Seats", "Pax") - defaults to 1.
- **Side** and **Group** (also "Family" or "Household").
- **Link** - an optional personal link for that guest. See [Personal invite links](https://app.ueventi.com/docs/en/articles/personal-invite-links).

> **Note:** You can import up to 1,000 guests at a time. Phone numbers that are already on your list are skipped, so it's safe to import an updated file again.
