# Guest language and preferred channel

Choose the language each guest reads and how they get your messages.

## Language

Each guest has a **Language**: English, Hebrew or French. Their invitation page and messages appear in that language, and the AI call can match it too.

When you type a phone number, the language is suggested from the country: Israeli numbers get Hebrew, French and Belgian numbers get French, and the rest get English. You can always change it.

If your event name or venue has a different spelling in another language, add it under **Names in other languages** in the event details. Guests who read that language will see it.

## Preferred channel

Each guest also has a **Preferred channel**: WhatsApp (the default), SMS or Voice calls. Messages go out on that channel, as long as it's turned on for the event.

- Guest doesn't use WhatsApp? Set their **Preferred channel** to **SMS**.
- To turn channels on or off for the whole event, go to **Event settings** > **How guests are reached**.
