# Guest consent

Why we ask you to confirm your guests agreed to hear from you.

Eventi sends messages on your behalf, so you're the one who knows your guests. Before guests are added, we ask you to confirm they agreed to receive your invitations and reminders by WhatsApp, SMS or phone call.

- When you **import a list**, tick the confirmation box before you can import.
- When you **add a guest by hand**, adding them counts as that confirmation.

Only add people you actually know and who expect to hear about your event. This keeps your messages from being reported as spam, which helps every invitation get delivered.

## If someone got a message by mistake

Guests can reply "mistake" or "stop" (in Hebrew, "טעות") and they won't get any more messages from your event. To mention this in your WhatsApp messages, turn on **Offer a way out if we got the wrong number** in **Event settings** under **Guest messages**. Replying always works, even with this off. Text messages leave this line out to stay short, and English texts always end with how to reply STOP.
