# Create your first event

Set up an event in a few steps: details, guests, invitation design and channels.

To create an event, go to [Events](https://app.ueventi.com/dashboard) and click **New event**. A short setup walks you through five steps.

1. **Your event.** Choose what you're celebrating, then add the event name, date, venue name and venue address.
2. **Guests.** Add a few guests now or import your list. You can always add more later.
3. **Invitation.** Pick a design. The preview updates as you go.
4. **Channels.** Choose how to reach guests: WhatsApp, SMS and AI voice calls. Keep at least one on.
5. **Ready.** Click **Review what your guests will get and send**, or **I'll send later - take me to my event**.

Under **More details (optional)** you can add host names, reception time, an estimated guest count, an RSVP date, the time zone, the currency and **Names in other languages**.

> **Note:** Add the date early. Reminders and the day-of message are timed from it.

Nothing is sent until you press **Start sending** yourself. You can change every detail later in **Event settings**.
